Minter Gardens and Harrison Hot Springs
Today we drove to Minter Garden's, which is one of the most famous gardens of the world featured in many books. To get there we drove thru the area of BC where most of the vegetables, fruits and dairy products are being produced.
Minter Garden's collection of plants and the way it is being presented is amazing. The gardeners there must truly love their job and display a great set of skills.
Winter Garden also provides a nice environment for Wedding ceremonies. There can be two ongoing in parallel, they have nice tents with beautiful decorations. There is even a small chapel on the premises.
After leaving the luscious gardens we drove again thru farm country. Folks here take a lot of pride in their local produce and have signs left and right roadsides.
They even have little shacks here and there, where you can buy sweet corn in MacDonalds Drive Thru style.
Once we had crossed the agricultural plains we hit Harrison Hot Springs. A small beach resort nestled on the shores of Lake Harrison. Again an amazing scenery where you have a sandy beach, boaters and surfers as well as snow covered mountain tips in the background. And all of this under glaring sunshine with 27°C temperature.
We ended the day in the Chainsaw Capital of the world, aka Hope, BC. There is actually not much to comment on, except for the impressive Fraser river, which provides a lot of opportunities to catch Salmon. Oh, wait.... maybe one more thing. Hope, BC is the location where scenes for the first Rambo movie "First Blood" were shot in 1982... below you can see some evidence.
